An artistic celebration: twenty years of the Igualada Children’s Contest

An event that marks a tradition

The Children’s Drawing Contest, promoted by the Old Guild of Traginers of Igualada, celebrates a significant milestone this year: its twentieth edition. This annual event, which has become a cultural reference in the city, seeks to involve the little ones in the rich tradition of the Three Tombs.

Delivery of prizes and recognition

Last Saturday, March 29, the Cal Font Central Library hosted the awards ceremony, a time expected by all participants and their families. With a remarkable number of drawings presented, almost a hundred, the exhibition demonstrated the creativity and talent of the students of Igualada.

Winners by categories

The awards were distributed in various categories, recognizing the work of students of different educational levels. Among the winners, Paula M. of the Ramon Castelltort school won the first prize in the I3 category, while Judit T. of the Igualada Academy stood out in 5th grade.

Specials: extra recognition

In addition to the general awards, special awards were awarded in different categories. Isaac F. of the Ateneu Igualadí was recognized for his contribution to the theme of ‘Banderers’, while Gabriel D. was awarded for his innovative ‘anatomical technique’.

Thanks to the community

From the old Guild of Traginers, a sincere thanks to all the participating schools and to the children who have spent time and effort in the competition has been. Also noteworthy is the support of Abacus, which for the first time has sponsored the event, as well as the collaboration of the library.

Visit the exhibition

The exhibition of the drawings can be visited until April 17 during the opening hours of the library, and the whole community is invited to enjoy these works of art that reflect the imagination of the little ones.
