An Exaggerated Staging in Catalonia: Puigdemont and the Elections

A Critical Vision of the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility

The Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, has expressed his criticism of Carles Puigdemont’s performance in announcing his third consecutive candidacy for the Generalitat in the upcoming elections in Catalonia. He considers that the staging goes beyond what is necessary.

Rejection of Puigdemont’s exaggeration

According to Puente, Puigdemont’s attitude in announcing his participation in the May 12 elections shows a tendency to resort to noise and excessive staging. This action is not surprising, since Puigdemont had already been a candidate in the previous two elections.

Two Different Paths

The minister emphasizes that Puigdemont represents a past to which the social majority of Catalonia does not wish to return. On the other hand, he emphasizes the figure of Salvador Illa of the PSC as a representative of the future, with the will to remove Catalonia from stagnation and push it towards leadership and progress.
