A diversified program for learning
The IES Pare Vitoria is preparing to live a new edition of its cultural week, which celebrates its 42nd edition this year with a wide range of activities scheduled from February 10 to 14. Gemma Pérez, the new Deputy Director of the Center, explained that the initiative seeks to provide a fun and interactive way to learn, making it possible for students to explore new knowledge outside the usual academic context.
Theme focused on sustainability
One of the highlights of this year is the introduction of a common thread that unites activities for 1st ESO students, with a special approach to the importance of water. “Through workshops and activities related to recycling, we will seek to foster environmental awareness among young people,” said Pérez. This edition will also include the participation of the students of the Gardening Training Cycle, who will prepare practical experiences for their younger peers, a novelty that promises to enrich collective learning.
External activities that extend horizons
In addition to internal activities, the cultural week will include external events that will enrich the experience of the students. Among them, there will be an exhibition dedicated to the Sahara, with the collaboration of an Alcoy NGO, and a performance by Xavi Castillo with his show ‘Veriuu’l el Ventorro’. This performance, scheduled for Wednesday, February 12, not only promises entertainment, but will also support the Association of Student Families (AFA), which has been essential in the purchase of ticket offices for the institute.
Reflections and learning beyond the classroom
Another of the most anticipated moments will be the intervention of the mother of Marta Calvo, who, together with psychologist Mario Navarro, will talk about the importance of geolocation and personal safety. This topic, sadly current, highlights the need for comprehensive education that encompasses both academic and life skills.
Excursions and practical experiences
Students will also have the opportunity to participate in several excursions, including visits to Alicante and Madrid, where they will be able to explore museums such as Prado and Reina Sofía. These outings not only offer a learning opportunity but also help to connect students with their culture and history.
A collective effort for a unique experience
This week’s preparation requires coordinated work from the beginning of the school year. “My predecessor, Teresa Botella, has provided me an invaluable support while organizing schedules and activities during the months of December and January,” shared Gemma Pérez. This dedication reflects the importance given to the integral training of students, as well as the desire to make each activity significant and enriching.
A new educational paradigm
In short, the IES Cultural Week Pare Vitoria is not just a set of activities; It is an opportunity to redefine learning. “We are looking for students to learn through fun and active participation, thus changing their perspective on education,” concluded Perez. With more than 100 activities scheduled, the event promises to be a resounding success.
