An innovative linguistic house for child inclusion

An Educational Initiative for Diversity

The City Council of Valls has launched a new edition of the Casal Linguistics, a proposal designed for Easter, framed within the Educational Environment Plan. This initiative seeks to provide a space where children not only entertain themselves, but also learn Catalan organically and fun.

A learning space for children from various cultures

The Casal is aimed at children between the ages of 6 and 12 who have recently arrived in Valls, from countries such as Romania, Ukraine, Colombia, and many others. This cultural diversity results in a rich and plural experience, where each child contributes their own story.

Exciting activities to learn Catalan

Through games, gymkhana and various recreational activities, the participants of the Casal will have the opportunity to improve their Catalan in a playful way. This methodology not only makes learning more effective, but also helps build bonds between children.

Fostering social cohesion and equality of opportunity

The Casal Language seeks to ensure that all children have the same educational opportunities. The Department of Education works to ensure that the students begin the third quarter with a good level of Catalan, thus enhancing their academic success.

A Dynamic and Creative Methodology

The activities of the Casal have been designed to stimulate children’s creativity and imagination, promoting more fluid communication in Catalan. Children will learn to express themselves confidently, eliminating the barriers they may have with the new language.

New in this year’s program

Following the success of the previous edition, this year new activities are presented that will enrich the learning experience. In network, the entity in charge of invigorating the Casal, has prepared a musical bingo in Catalan and a game of the giant goose, among others, to make learning even more dynamic.

Collaboration with educational centers

The implementation of this house is supported by local schools, which help identify those children who could benefit more from this resource, so ensuring that those who need it most have access to this unique opportunity.

Toward an inclusive future

This linguistic house not only represents a learning opportunity for children, but also symbolizes a step towards a more cohesive and inclusive community. By strengthening the Catalan language among the youngest, Valls ensures that all its inhabitants, regardless of their origin, can be fully integrated and contribute to the social fabric of the city.
