Andorra positions itself as leader in global sports innovation

Andorra Sports Innovation Hub, an initiative born of the collaboration between Andorra Business and Andorra Research and Innovation (AR+I), has been awarded in the commemorative gala of the tenth anniversary of the Global Sports Innovation Center (GSIC) Powered by Microsoft, held in Madrid.

A hub with clear goals

The Andorran Hub is the mission of establishing the country as a nucleus of innovation and technology in winter and mountain sports, as well as cycling. This platform seeks to promote knowledge and technological development applied to sport, attracting emerging companies and facilitating collaboration between institutions, companies and athletes globally.

The award was received by Marc Saura, Secretary of State for Business, Economic Diversification and Innovation, and Judit Hidalgo, director of Andorra Business. Saura said that this award is a testament to the vision of Andorra as a reference in innovation in unique environments, where the union between sports and technology generates knowledge and opportunities.
