From February 10 to 16, the city of Barcelona transforms into the epicenter of the noir novel with BCNegra, a festival that stands out for its rich programming and its ability to connect authors from different backgrounds. This year, the cities of Barcelona, Marseille and Naples will be the protagonists of this literary event, which will bring together more than 130 participants in a series of varied activities.
Inauguration and Exhibitions
The festival will begin with an exhibition entitled ‘Negra de tres colores: Barcelona, Marseille, Naples’ at the Jaume Fuster Library, curated by Quim Noguero. This exhibition, which opens on February 6, offers an in-depth look at the particularities of each city in the noir genre. In addition, writer Margarida Aritzeta and other representatives of the participating cities will discuss their cultural identities.
Exciting Conversations and Live Music
The formal inauguration of BCNegra will take place on February 10th with roundtables in the Paral·lel 62 room, where topics such as childhood fears and the relationship of the black genre with the history of Barcelona will be discussed. The day will culminate with a concert by Quique González, who will explore the connections between music and literature.

The festival not only focuses on literature, but also includes the screening of films related to the themes of the roman noir.
