Celebrating the cultural wealth of the Canary Islands
The BienMeSabe.org magazine has embarked on a fascinating journey, taking its third edition throughout the Canary Islands. This tour, loaded with presentation events, is a tribute to Canarian culture and marks a milestone in the history of this well-known online platform, which will celebrate two decades in May 2024.
The journey began in Gran Canaria and has visited several islands, including La Gomera, Fuerteventura and Tenerife. Now, their final destination is La Palma, an island that has always warmly welcomed the collaborators and content of BienMeSabe.org.
Featured contributors and varied content
The magazine has had the valuable contribution of numerous collaborators from La Palma, among them José Guillermo Rodríguez Escudero, María Victoria Hernández, Manuel García Rodríguez and Miguel A. Martín González. In addition, it has offered a wide range of materials about La Palma, including articles, essays, digital books, audiovisual reports and photographic galleries.
Among the pages of BienMeSabe.org, feature interviews with prominent personalities of palm life, such as Luis Cobiella Cuevas, sedera master Nieves Jiménez, Anelio Rodríguez and many more.
An unmissable presentation
To continue celebrating the work of BienMeSabe.org, on Saturday, April 13, the Santa Cruz de La Palma Casino (Sociedad la Investigadora) will be the scene of a special presentation. Starting at 12:00 p.m., attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about El Bucio and the history behind the magazine, with the presence of researcher José Guillermo Rodríguez Escudero and José Miguel Perera, one of the general coordinators of the platform .
Issue 3 of El Bucio magazine has been available in Canarian bookstores for months. This edition includes a careful selection of texts that reflect the extensive history of BienMeSabe.org, founded in May 2004.
A window to Canarian culture
With almost thirty articles and 107 richly illustrated pages, this edition offers a varied vision of Canarian culture. From customs to history, identity and ethnography, readers will find a treasure trove of knowledge in the pages of El Bucio. Coordinated by José Miguel Perera, this issue has the contribution of prominent figures such as Cirilo Leal, Manuel Lorenzo Perera, María Dolores García Martín and many more.
In addition to articles, the magazine incorporates transmedia content, including videos, audios and digital books accessible through QR codes. This initiative covers various areas, from gastronomy to literature, offering a unique multimedia experience for readers.
