CaixaBank deploys mobile solutions for DANA victims in Valencia

An unprecedented emergency in the Valencian Community

The recent torrential rains caused by DANA have left a trail of devastation in the Valencian Community, with thousands of families and businesses trapped in a critical situation. Entire towns have been flooded, endangering access to basic services and causing palpable social alarm.

CaixaBank reacts quickly

Faced with this bleak scenario, CaixaBank has decided to act immediately to ease the burden on those affected. The entity has implemented a system of mobile offices that offer vital banking services in the most affected areas.

Deployment of mobile offices

With four mobile units already operational, CaixaBank has reached towns such as Algemesí, Benetússer, Paiporta and Aldaia, and has extended its coverage to Albal. This initiative allows residents to have access to essential services, avoiding long journeys at a time of extreme need.

Services available to the community

Mobile offices offer a range of services including cash withdrawals, loan applications and loan moratorium management. In addition, they facilitate insurance processing for those who have suffered significant losses, providing urgent financial support.

Collaboration with local authorities

CaixaBank has established a close collaboration with the Integrated Operational Coordination Center (CECOPI) and the town councils to assess the situation and determine where more mobile offices are needed. This flexibility is essential to ensure that the greatest possible number of citizens can access the necessary services.

Status of CaixaBank offices

Currently, more than 95% of CaixaBank branches in the Valencian Community have reopened their doors, with a total of 353 locations, of which 318 are operational. Only eight offices remain closed due to storm damage, but the mobile offices have covered the needs of five of these locations.

Additional facilities for customers

Another initiative that has been well received is the possibility of withdrawing cash without commission at CaixaBank ATMs for customers of other banking institutions. This measure seeks to minimize the displacement of citizens, providing access to cash immediately, especially in heavily affected areas such as Xiva, Bunyol and Utiel.

Enhanced customer service

For those who need assistance, CaixaBank has improved its customer service channels. Those affected can contact an information service at 900 40 40 90, where they can obtain information on aid and financial support designed for individuals and small businesses.

Commitment to the community

With these actions, CaixaBank demonstrates a firm commitment to its community in the face of the emergency caused by DANA. The implementation of mobile offices and support to cashiers are measures that seek to provide immediate relief to the affected population, highlighting the importance of a quick response in times of crisis.
