Commitment to economic recovery
Recently, CaixaBank has launched several initiatives to deal with the devastating consequences of the Isolated Depression at High Levels (DANA) which has severely affected several areas of Spain. The financial institution seeks to provide comprehensive support to companies and individuals who have suffered significant losses.
Financing for affected companies
One of the most prominent actions is the creation of an extraordinary financing line, amounting to more than 2.5 billion euros, intended to help companies face the economic damage resulting from the storm. This initiative aims to guarantee the continuity and recovery of commercial activities in the most damaged areas.
Support for freelancers and small businesses
In addition, MicroBank, the social branch of CaixaBank, has designed a specific financing line for the self-employed and small businesses with annual income of up to 2 million euros. This offer includes loans of up to 50,000 euros with a repayment term of 72 months, designed to ensure the viability of the affected businesses.
Support of the agri-food sector
AgroBank, the CaixaBank entity focused on the agri-food sector, has announced a support line of more than 300 million euros for farms and crops damaged by DANA. This measure includes aid advances to facilitate the rehabilitation of the affected lands.
Help for individuals
For people who have suffered damage to their homes and vehicles, CaixaBank has implemented a financing line with preferential conditions. This line allows repairs to be immediately covered until the Insurance Compensation Consortium grants are available.
Cash access facilities
To facilitate access to cash, CaixaBank has decided to allow the withdrawal of money without commission to customers with cards from other institutions at 785 ATMs in the province of Valencia during the coming week, thus helping to ease the difficulties that affected are experiencing.
Social commitment and volunteering
In addition to the financial measures, CaixaBank volunteers have mobilized to provide assistance to the most affected communities, actively participating in cleaning and restoration tasks. The institution has also created a platform to collect donations for Red Cross Spain and Cáritas Diocesanes de Valencia.
With these actions, CaixaBank reaffirms its commitment to the communities affected by DANA, offering not only financial support but also tangible help to facilitate recovery and social and economic development in the affected areas.
