Cambrils Lights Up for Christmas: Festivities and Local Commerce

A Bridge of Celebrations in Cambrils

With the arrival of the Immaculate Conception Day, Cambrils is preparing to experience a weekend full of festive activities, which include the small festival in the town centre and the second block of Christmas celebrations.

The Christmas Gift Fair: A Space for Local Commerce

The heart of the festivities is the Christmas Gift Fair, organized by the Unió de Botiguers de Cambrils (UBC) with the collaboration of the City Council. This fair, which takes place in Plaça de la Vila, will host a wide variety of local businesses and stallholders offering traditional products and Christmas items.

Dates and Times of the Fair

The fair will take place on December 6, 7 and 8, with opening hours from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., except Sunday, which will close at 2:00 p.m.

Boosting Local Trade

The Councilor for Economic Promotion, Neus Càrdenas, inaugurated the event, highlighting the importance of decentralizing tourist attention to include the commerce of the town center. Càrdenas emphasized that 35% of the stalls are from local establishments, a percentage that she seeks to increase in future editions.

Accessibility and Complementary Activities

In order to make the event more accessible, silent hours have been scheduled for people with sensory diversity, which will take place at various times throughout the weekend.

More Festive Activities

In addition to the fair, on Saturday there will be a carol singing with mulled wine at the Torre del Llimó, followed by a Charity Bingo in support of the TV3 Marathon. The celebrations will continue with a storyteller at the Library on Tuesday.

A Christmas Full of Tradition and Community

With this program, Cambrils seeks not only to celebrate the Christmas holidays, but also to strengthen the local commercial fabric, offering visitors an experience rich in traditions and community. The complete program of activities can be consulted at the link provided by the City Council.
