A solidarity day
Once again, Càritas Diocesana de Barcelona joins the celebration of Sant Jordi’s day with a solidarity initiative. Under the slogan “For Sant Jordi, put your heart into it!”, the organization will be present at Plaça Nova, 1, in front of the Càritas headquarters, on April 23 from 10am to 7pm.
At the Cáritas stand, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase roses and other handicrafts made by people served by the organization. All the donations collected during the day will go to the social action of Càritas, which works to help the most vulnerable people in the diocese of Barcelona.
The 360° Photo Booth
As a novelty this year, Cáritas presents the Fotomatón 360°, a rotating platform that allows users to record videos in circular motion. This activity symbolizes the integral support that Cáritas offers to people, taking into account all the dimensions of their lives.
Itziar Bravo, responsible for Awareness, Members and Donors of Càritas Barcelona, encourages citizens to experience a Sant Jordi marked by solidarity. In addition, he asks for the collaboration of everyone to bring the values of Sant Jordi’s day to the most vulnerable people. According to Bravo, Sant Jordi is a day to show affection towards others, it is synonymous with esteem and love. Cáritas works to ensure that this solidarity reaches the neediest people in the diocese of Barcelona.
