Celebrating inclusion: success of the adapted tennis tournament

A fun and inclusive sport Sunday

This Sunday, the Costa Dauradada Golf Club Tarragona Sports Center became the epicenter of the celebration of adapted tennis, with the participation of about 50 tennis players of various capabilities. The event, known as the Memorial Gerard Gibert, marks its tenth edition and has been a brilliant example of camaraderie and sports spirit.

Diverse categories for all levels

Participants were classified into five categories, adapted to their skills: advanced male, advanced female, mixed medium and skill. Each player and player not only competed for a trophy, but also received a medal in recognition of the effort and dedication shown throughout the day.

Emotional recognition to Gerard Gibert

The tournament was also an occasion to honor Gerard Gibert’s memory, with an emotional minute of silence and the delivery of a symbolic memory of his family, ensuring that his legacy will last in the heart of all attendees.

The awards ceremony was an outstanding event, with the presence of relevant figures such as Estefanía Serrano, of the Ministry of the Generalitat of Catalonia, and Eduardo Sañudo, general director of Vopak Terquimsa.
