Celebrating the gastronomic talent: the winners of the Lladonosa Awards

A morning of recognition and talent

The Corsini Square in Tarragona has become the scene of a unique celebration this morning, where emerging talent in the world of gastronomy has been recognized through the social awards ‘Josep Lluís Rull’. Yassine Maatallaoui, representative of the Foundation and Work Foundation of INS Escola-Restaurant de Sant Adrià de Besòs, has been crowned as the best in the cooking category. In turn, Pol González, from the Hotel and Tourism School of Cambrils, stood out in Sala and received a special prize for his Royal Bliss cocktail.

An award with meaning

The prize, named after a renowned Catalan entrepreneur, is a tribute to the dedication and passion for gastronomy. Montse Adan, Minister of Tourism, and Pere Granados, Deputy Delegate of Employment Policies, have been responsible for delivering the awards, which recognize the excellence of students from the foundations that offer culinary training in Catalonia.

Way to new opportunities

With the level of demonstrated skills, Pol González, together with Emma Eitaviciue of the Instal de Hotelía school INS Dertosa-Tortosa, have won a place in the professional final room final that will take place on May 21 in the Pedralbes Palace in Barcelona. This competition has brought together a total of 20 students previously selected, with a ‘Masterchef’ style format that has provided a dynamic and exciting air to the event.

A legacy of excellence

The social prize is named after Josep Lluís Rull, a prominent figure in the construction of professional kitchens and a true ‘angel’ for these awards. The emotional act of delivery was attended by the Rull family, who has kept the culinary tradition alive for three generations.

A purposeful initiative

This edition of the Josep Lladonosa Gastronomic Awards, co -organized with the Diputació de Tarragona, stands out for its mission of social inclusion and the promotion of young talent. Both institutions have reaffirmed their commitment to these values, which are the heart of these awards.

The presence of Michelin stars

The jury, headed by the renowned brothers Torres, who won three Michelin stars in their restaurant ‘Cuina Hermanos Torres’, has added an added prestige to the event. With them, Pep Moreno, also Michelin star, has shared his vision on culinary excellence. Josep Lladonosa, a pillar of Mediterranean gastronomic culture, has inspired young chefs with their reflections and experiences.

A promising future for gastronomy

With moments of recognition and inspiration, the Lladonosa Awards not only celebrate talent, but also establish a path for future generations of chefs and room professionals. The combination of experience, passion and dedication leads us to believe in a brilliant future for Catalan gastronomy.
