Celebration of the Anoia River: A new step towards environmental conservation

The return of party laughs: a day of connection with nature

Next Sunday, March 30, the Molí de l’Abadia, located in the Ronda of the Funeral Home in Montbui, will become the center of the third edition of the Fiesta l’Ari. This annual celebration has been established as a space to foster environmental awareness and the importance of preserving the Anoia river, especially in those sections that need urgent care.

Various activities for all ages

With the collaboration of Anoia for the Climate and the Conca, this year’s event promises a rich and varied program that includes eight activities spaces. More than 40 proposals are designed for families and individuals of all ages to enjoy and learn about their natural environment. Notable activities include games, workshops and talks, as well as a space dedicated to music and an open micro that offers a platform for local talents.

Educational activities and citizen science

One of the most prominent new features is the educational approach to activities, with proposals to identify the local flora and observe birds in their habitat. The little ones will enjoy practical workshops, such as the construction of birds dining rooms and the exploration of aquatic life through magnifying glasses and aquariums.

Long -term commitment to conservation

Party The river is not only a celebration, but also the beginning of a wider commitment to the protection of the Anoia River. The initiative includes river custody, a project that seeks to establish agreements between local associations and administrations to implement improvement actions on the river sections for the next four years.

Creation of Anoia Table

The entities involved are working to create the Anoia Table, a collaborative forum between various actors in the territory, with the aim of promoting the conservation and sustainability of the river. This effort has the advice of the Center for Studies of the Mediterranean Rivers of the University of Vic, thus guaranteeing a scientific and rigorous approach.

Institutional and Community Support

The Pinnae Foundation, through the Promoted Program for the Territory, funds these actions with the intention of strengthening the social and environmental fabric of the community. This initiative not only seeks to preserve biodiversity, but also promotes collaboration between local entities to meet the social and environmental challenges presented.

Festa La Riu, thus, is a unique opportunity for the community to connect with nature, learn about its importance and participate in its preservation, consolidating itself as an essential event in the Montbui calendar.
