A recognition to dedication and excellence
The Gresol Private Foundation, a non-profit institution with more than three decades of history, has celebrated its twenty-seventh edition of the Gran Gresol Prize, an award that distinguishes businessmen and companies in Catalonia Nova. With a community of more than 150 members, this foundation is committed to strengthening the business fabric of the region.
A memorable journey to Rome
On February 18 and 19, a group of 25 businessmen made a special trip to Rome with the aim of handing out the prize and paying tribute to Mn. Armand Puig i Tàrrech. In addition to participating in the ceremony, attendees enjoyed an exclusive tour of the Vatican necropolis, where they learned about the history of Saint Peter, considered the first pope.
Exploration of the Vatican
The day included a guided tour of the imposing basilica of Sant Pere, where Mn. Puig offered comments on architectural wonders, such as the Bernini altar and the dome designed by Michelangelo. The participants also had the opportunity to go through one of the holy doors, a special privilege for this Holy Year.
An evening of recognition
The Grand Gresol Award Delivery ceremony was held during a dinner in the heart of Rome. The President of the Foundation, Emili Correig, opened the event with a few words of thanks and recognition in the work of Mn. Puig. Javier Marín, a member of the Council of the Ior, also participated, who shared his experience at the Vatican’s financial institution.
An inspiring speech
Following the presentation of the winner by the Secretary of Gresol, Jordi Cervera, Mn. Armand Puig had the opportunity to address the attendees. The prize, which symbolizes the fusion of metals to create a pure product, was a time of celebration for all present.
An academic and spiritual arrival
Born in 1953 in La Selva del Camp, Mn. Puig is the priest of the Archdiocese of Tarragona and Doctor of Bible Sciences. He has held various academic and parish positions, including the direction of the scientific publications of the Bible Association of Catalonia. In addition, he has published numerous books and articles that explore the Bible and theology.
A commitment to the business
The Gresol Foundation celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, reaffirming its commitment to local business. Through initiatives such as the Grand Gresol Award, the Foundation seeks to promote the talent and training of businessmen in the region, organizing events that recognize effort and dedication in the business world.
