Changes in the weather in Spain: Warning from Mario Picazo

End of intense heat

The month of May has come to an end with high temperatures in several parts of Spain. However, renowned meteorologist Mario Picazo has announced that the intense heat is coming to an end. In the coming days, changes in the weather are expected due to the passage of a cold front that will bring cooler air from the north.

Temperature drop

With the arrival of this cold air, temperatures are expected to drop in both the north and the east of Spain. Mario Picazo comments that a drop in temperatures is expected in the coming days.

Showers and storms

In addition to the drop in temperatures, showers and storms are expected in the regions of the Balearic Islands, Aragon and Catalonia. These weather conditions are a consequence of the passage of the cold front mentioned above.

Cold air and intense wind

The passage of the cold front will also bring with it stronger winds and the entry of cold air. First, it will be felt in the north and in the Ebro valley, and later it will affect the Mediterranean regions, such as the Balearic Islands, the southeast of the peninsula and the Alboran Sea.

Variation in temperatures

This Saturday temperatures are expected to drop significantly compared to previous days. Many thermometers that have been reading above 30 degrees will plummet below that mark, moving closer to 25 degrees.

Exceptions in the southwest of the peninsula

Despite the general drop in temperatures, there are some areas of the southwest of the peninsula, such as Seville, Córdoba and Badajoz, that will continue to experience temperatures between 30 and 35 degrees over the next few days.
