Christmas Celebrations in Creixell: A Program Full of Surprises

A Christmas full of activities

On Friday, December 13, Creixell will kick off its Christmas festivities with a varied and exciting program. Residents will be able to enjoy the second edition of the Christmas Fair, a nativity scene competition, as well as solidarity events for the Marathon, and the traditional activities of the Tió and the Cavalcada dels Reyes.

Below is the program of events that you won’t want to miss:

Friday, December 13

At 7 p.m., the Casal Municipal will host a special Santa Llúcia concert, featuring four-hand piano performances by Elizaveta Mironova and Irina Veselova. The best part? Admission is free!

Saturday, December 14

From 10 am to 8 pm, the historic center will be transformed into a Christmas market with the 2nd Christmas Fair. You can find craft stalls, creative workshops and performances by local choirs, including the Coral Escola Les Eres and the Coral Sant Jaume.

At 11 a.m., there will be workshops and at 12 p.m., a puppet show entitled ‘A Window at Christmas’ by L’Invisible Titelles. In the afternoon, at 5:30 p.m., there will be a storyteller and a workshop called ‘The Tree of Wishes’ by Bibliocreixell, followed by choral performances at 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Sunday, December 15

On Sunday, the Christmas Fair will continue from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a storyteller and workshop dedicated to Christmas in Creixell at 12 p.m. In the afternoon, at 6 p.m., the 3rd Quinto de Creixell will be held, in support of the TV3 Marathon.

Highlights

On Saturday, December 21 at 7 p.m., the awarding of prizes for nativity scenes, shop windows and facades will take place, with a performance by the Sant Jaume Choir. On Sunday the 22nd, at 12 p.m., the Casal Municipal will present a family show dedicated to Tió de Nadal, with free entry.

Between December 27 and 31, the Christmas House, run by La Ballaruga, will offer activities for children from P3 to 6th, with free registration at Cal Cabaler.

New Year’s Eve and beginning of the year

On December 31, a big New Year’s Eve party will be held with dinner, musical show and entertainment, with tickets for €10. The year will begin with the first swim of the year on January 1 at 12 noon on Creixell beach.

Activities for everyone

On January 3rd and 4th, sports activities and a circus workshop will be held at the Casal Municipal, with free admission. Finally, on January 5th, the Cavalcade of the Three Kings will close this festive program with magic and excitement.
