The latest Christmas events in Alcoy have been carried out with complete normality, thanks to an exhaustive security plan. The Local Police have presented a positive assessment, highlighting that no major incidents have been recorded during the celebrations.
Security Measures at the Royal Palace
On January 4, the Ban Reial was one of the most closely monitored events. A total of 27 roadblocks were implemented, along with the presence of five patrol vehicles. In addition, a mobile unit with four motorcycles accompanied the procession, while other patrols were strategically located along the route.
Minor Incidents and Alcohol Controls
The incidents recorded during the event were common and minor. Only one of the breathalyzer tests was positive, which highlights the effectiveness of the safety devices.
Royal Camp: A Controlled Day
On January 5, during the Royal Camp, a team of 20 officers was mobilized to guarantee security. With five street closures and the presence of patrol vehicles, the operation focused on controlling the access of unauthorized vehicles.
Minor Incidents in a Festive Atmosphere
Only two minor incidents were recorded, a result that security forces consider to be within normal limits. This reflects the effectiveness of the measures implemented.
Cavalcade of the Kings: An Expanded Device
The Three Kings Parade had a large security deployment, including 45 roadblocks and a total of 28 officers. Incidents, mostly health-related, were minor, with three people injured by fireworks.
Diligent Control and Positive Results
During the night of the Cavalcade, eight minor incidents were recorded, a figure comparable to that of a typical weekend. The breathalyzer tests also demonstrated the responsibility of citizens, with only two positive results.
