The Tarraco Arena Plaça hosted this Tuesday the fifth edition of the Connect@ Conference, an event that has become a benchmark for entrepreneurs from Catalonia, Castellón and Teruel. With the participation of more than 300 professionals, this edition stands out for its extension and diversity.
Promoting Innovation and Digitalization
Under the slogan Connect@ Inn-Tech, the conference focuses on crucial topics such as innovation, internationalization and digitalization, fundamental elements for the growth of the business fabric. Funded by the European Union’s Next Generation fund, the event offers both in-person and virtual attendance options.
Opening in charge of Rubén Viñuales
Rubén Viñuales, vice-president of the Provincial Council and mayor of Tarragona, opened the event, highlighting the importance of collaboration between institutions to strengthen the local economy. Viñuales stated that ‘This meeting is a reflection of our commitment to the economic and social progress of the region.’
Inspiring Lectures and Experiences
The day began with a keynote speech by Pau Garcia-Milà, a renowned Catalan entrepreneur, who shared strategies for successful innovation. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with around sixty entrepreneurial experiences and participate in roundtables and workshops designed to foster collaboration.
Pitch Competition and Emprèn Awards
Among the highlighted activities, a startup pitch competition that will allow companies to present their ideas in front of an expert jury. In addition, tomorrow the Emprèn Awards will be held, which recognize the most innovative projects in the Camp de Tarragona and adjacent areas.
Experts and Innovative Activities
The event will feature prominent figures such as Xavier Marcet and Núria Salán, who will provide their perspectives on the future of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. In addition, BeFuture!, an initiative of the Mobile World Capital Barcelona foundation, which offers immersive experiences in technology, will be presented.

This conference is part of the Impulso del Ecosistema Emprendedor Innovador (Impulse of the Innovative Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Program), promoted by the Ministry of Industry and Tourism and funded by the European Union. The collaboration of several provincial governments and economic development entities highlights the importance of a solid network for the growth of companies.
