Creand Crèdit Andorrà has been named Andorran Bank of the Year 2024 by the Financial Times group, an award that is given annually and is considered one of the most prestigious internationally in the world of finance. This distinction, awarded by the publication The Banker, is a reflection of the strength of the bank’s business model and its responsible risk management.

This is the third consecutive time that Creand has received this prestigious award, which underlines the effectiveness of its Committed Banking philosophy. The recently launched 2024-2026 Strategic Plan is based on principles such as the sustainability of results, customer orientation and constant innovation, aspects that have been significantly valued by the jury.

During the period of the 2021-2023 Strategic Plan, Creand has achieved very positive results, exceeding expectations and experiencing notable growth internationally. Xavier Cornella, CEO, stated that this recognition reflects the solidity of its business model and commitment to Andorra’s economic progress.

Digitalization and Innovation as Priorities

The jury highlighted Creand’s strong commitment to digitalization, a key factor in adapting to emerging customer needs. The bank recently launched its new Creand Banca Online application, designed for an optimal mobile experience, combining ease of use with high security standards.

Artificial Intelligence in Customer Service

In addition, the entity has incorporated predictive artificial intelligence models to improve its offering and has established a collaboration with Onyze, a leader in digital asset custody, to provide services related to cryptoassets.

Financial Education and Sustainability

Another notable project is the ‘Teens Creand’ program, which offers banking services to young people aged 12 to 17, encouraging a responsible introduction to the financial world with parental supervision. This approach not only promotes the autonomy of young people, but also reflects the bank’s commitment to financial education.

Sustainability is another fundamental pillar in Creand’s strategy. The bank has implemented significant actions, such as the issuance of green bonds and entry into the carbon credit market, reaffirming its commitment to social and environmental responsibility.

Positive Financial Results

At the end of 2023, Creand reported a profit of 71.3 million euros, a significant increase of 60.05% over the previous year, with a business volume that amounted to 27,620 million euros, marking a growth of 10.47%.
