Creative Revitalization: Sant Sadurní d’Anoia promotes local trade

Collaboration between the City Council and Som Sant Sadurní

The City Council of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, together with the Som Sant Sadurní entity, has begun an ambitious commercial revitalization plan. This initiative, entitled ‘Of all colors: you paint a lot’, seeks to emphasize the importance of local trade and its life role in the community. The campaign includes collaborations with various local companies and organizations, creating a dynamic and participatory environment.

Art as a solidarity tool

One of the highlights of this campaign is the project ‘Solidar’. The 3rd year ESO students of the Intermunicipal Institute have created a series of works of art that are exhibited in stores that participate in the initiative. The inauguration of this exhibition recently took place in the Patio de la Fassina, and the paintings will be available for viewing until June 6. That day, a solidarity auction will be held to raise funds for the Ampert Association, scheduled at 19:00 in the parking lot of the center.

Mural and Artistic Awards

On the same day of the auction, the students of the 4th year of ESO of the Intermunicipal Institute will paint a mural that will promote the local purchase and the use of the Customer Card of Som Sant Sadurní. In addition, until May 31, participants in the campaign puzzle will be able to win exclusive artistic awards, which include two works of art and two creative experiences. The draw will take place during the act of June 6, with the collaboration of several local sponsors such as the Mediterranean Academy of Arts Amarts and Paqui Delgado Gallery.

Street activities: a party for all

During the campaign, various street activities will be held, all inspired by the theme of art, painting and colors. This Saturday, a fantasy makeup truck will be installed in the commercial area of the center and the market. The next week, the little ones will enjoy a children’s art workshop in the Town Hall Square, organized by the Mediterranean Academy of Arts Amarts, with live music by the local artist ‘Pina Pintado’ to enliven the event.

Reflections on the future of local trade

With this campaign, Sant Sadurní d’Anoia not only seeks to stimulate its local trade, but also to create a sense of community and solidarity. As residents and visitors participate in these activities, it is clear that art and culture can be powerful tools to foster social cohesion and support for local trade. The initiative ‘of all colors: you paint a lot’ is a brilliant example of this vision, leaving a lasting imprint on the community.
