An Educational Collaboration Project
Llívia has established an innovative collaboration between the Municipal Museum and the Jaume I school, with the aim of strengthening the students’ knowledge of local history and allowing them to exhibit the results of their work in a public cultural environment.
The exhibition ‘The Roman Forum of Llívia’ is the result of this collaboration, offering visitors two models of the Roman forum that represent life in the 1st century AD and the current archaeological remains. In addition, students have created a board game and a question and answer game related to Roman history, all as part of their course project.
The teachers, Mercè Vilalta and Jordi Martínez, have emphasized that this project has allowed the students to delve deeper into Roman history and raise relevant questions about society and the impact of the Romans in Llívia and Cerdanya.
Recognition of the Collaboration
The director of the Museum, Gerard Cunill, has praised the collaboration between the two institutions, highlighting the importance of giving visibility to the work of the educational centers and the Museum of Llívia.
This exhibition exemplifies the ability of educational centers and the Museu de Llívia to create enriching projects that connect the community with local history.

The collaboration between the Municipal Museum of Llívia and the Jaume I School has proven to be a success, allowing students to explore local history in a hands-on and interactive way, and offering the public a unique opportunity to learn about the Roman past of the region
