David Giménez: An epic crossing for the Iberian Peninsula

A journey that goes beyond the distances

David Giménez Ramos, a 31 -year -old, originally from Salou, has begun an ambitious challenge that will lead him to walk more than 5,000 kilometers on the Iberian Peninsula. Its goal is clear: to begin and end at the same point, after crossing Spain and Portugal.

The traveling soul of an adventurer

With a nomadic spirit, David has accumulated significant experiences, such as his stay in Australia in 2024, where he combined studies with various works. This stage of his life intensified his desire to travel and explore new horizons. He recently worked at the Formigal Ski Resort to gather the necessary resources for this new adventure.

A route full of challenges and beauty

Its route is an ambition map: it will begin in Salou, passing through Lleida, Huesca, Pamplona and Irun, to continue on the north of the Santiago path. Arriving in Galicia, David will cross the Portuguese Atlantic coast, enjoying the beaches of Algarve and Faro, before heading to Tarifa. From there, you will cross the Mediterranean coast, passing through Marbella, Murcia and Valencia, to return to its point of origin.

A solo trip with an essential equipment

David walks with a cart of more than 35 kg, containing foods, kitchen utensils, a tent and an inflatable mattress, everything needed to survive for days without relying on stores. He plans to camp every night, though he does not rule out spending a night in a hostel to rest properly.

Sharing the adventure with the world

During his trip, David documents his experience on social media, where he publishes videos and reflections on the stages he resorts to, the obstacles he surpasses and the beauty of the landscape. On Instagram and Tiktok, you can follow it with the username “@d3ividon”, a way to involve their followers on this transformative journey.

The first steps: emotions and adversities

The first days have been full of intense emotions. His departure from Salou was a moment of great meaning, surrounded by friends, family and even strangers who offered him encouragement and applause. David recalls with excitement the moment he took his first steps, aware that there was no going back.

An introspective and transformative journey

Beyond the physical challenge, this journey represents a deep emotional exploration. Loneliness, contact with nature and strangers interactions are aspects that David considers to be fundamental for his personal growth. “The first days have been a roller coaster of emotions, but I know I will not give up. I will continue to go, whatever happens,” he shares with determination.

An inspiration for all

David Giménez not only proposes a physical challenge, but also reminds us of the importance of following our dreams and reconnecting with ourselves and the world around us. His adventure has just begun, but his story is already leaving a significant imprint on those who follow him.
