A Salt Forward in the Medical Diagnosis
The Clilab Diagnostic Consortium, located in the Hospital de l’Alt Penedès de Vilafranca, has achieved significant success in the digitalization of pathological anatomy services, generating 140,000 high -resolution images in just five months. This initiative not only transforms the way we work on health professionals, but also significantly improves the accuracy of diagnoses.
Digital transformation as a central axis
Digitization has become a fundamental element for the operation of CLILAB. The conversion of tissue samples into accessible digital images allows pathologists to make more accurate and personalized diagnostics, as well as facilitate collaboration between specialists. Dr. César Chappuis, head of the Pathological Anatomy Service, emphasizes that this new methodology provides a more complete view of injuries, thus improving therapeutic decisions.
Benefits of digitization
This innovation not only reduces the response time in urgent cases, but also allows the review of previous cases and the analysis of patterns that could lead to more effective treatments. The ability to share and analyze real -time images from different locations represents a great step forward in the collaboration between health professionals.
Integration of artificial intelligence
In order to continue improving their efficiency, CLILAB plans to implement artificial intelligence tools for 2025. These technologies will revolutionize the way they work, as they will automate diagnostic processes, identify suspicious areas and homogenize diagnostic criteria. According to Dr. Chappuis, these tools will considerably expand the extent of the services they offer.
A promising future for health
Sílvia Miró, technical director of the Consortium, emphasizes that digitalization and artificial intelligence will not only facilitate the work of professionals, but also help to attract scientific talent in Catalonia, offering more innovative and flexible working conditions. This transformation will also bring state -of -the -art technology to hospitals associated with CLILAB.
Commitment to public health
Since its inception in 2002, CLILAB Diagnostics has pledged to provide high quality laboratory services with a firm approach to patients’ health. With these new initiatives, the Consortium is positioned as a leader in the digitalization of the Catalan healthcare system, according to Rafael Comas, manager of the Consortium.
