Presentation of an Innovative Course
The Northern Civic Center of Igualada hosted a significant meeting this Wednesday, where more than a hundred attendees gathered to discover the news of the 2024-2025 year of the Professions de Futur program, a prominent initiative of the UEA Foundation.
Balance sheet of the previous year
Kilian Sebrià, local journalist, has shared a summary of the successes achieved during the 2023-2024 academic year, highlighting the participation of more than 1900 students, a notable increase in sessions and the involvement of 37 companies and volunteer professionals, a record that triples the previous year’s participation.
Goals for the Future
Joan Mateu, president of the UEA Foundation, has expressed his satisfaction with the results obtained and expressed his desire to increase the participation of students and centers during the new academic year. He stressed the importance of joining efforts between educational institutions, companies and families to ensure a promising future for young people.
Dialogue between Education and Industry
A round table brought together representatives of schools, companies and students, who shared their experiences and reflections on the importance of the Professions de Futur project. Participants highlighted the need to create closer links between students and local businesses, as well as the importance of giving visibility to job initiatives in the community.

Among the speakers, Vera Salgado and Sergi Fitó from the Badia i Margarit Institute, Gal·la Hervàs from the Molí de la Vila Institute, Imma Cantacorps from the Alexandre de Riquer Institute, Adrià Castelltort from Ambiens, and Natàlia Esquerra from Quimser, they have provided their perspectives on the relationship between education and the world of work.
News and Opportunities
Anna Marsal, coordinator of the UEA Foundation, has presented the news for the 2024-2025 academic year, revealing that there are already more than 50 applications from centers interested in participating. He has invited the rest of the teachers and families to join this initiative, emphasizing the importance of community support.
Celebrating the Community Commitment
The event concluded with a family photo that brought together volunteers, schools, businesses and students, followed by informal refreshments that encouraged the exchange of ideas and concerns about education and job opportunities.
