A space for new voices
The Ermengol-Museum Space in the city of La Seu d’Urgell has become a real beacon of innovative ideas thanks to its collaboration with the Joan Brudieu Institute. Within the framework of the ‘Research Young’ program, this space will host a series of presentations that show the concerns and proposals of high school students.
Papers that transform
On Friday, May 16, at seven in the afternoon, the student Paula Visa will present her work entitled “Architectural barriers at La Seu. Discovering what we do not see: towards a more inclusive city”, under the tutelage of Lurdes Casanova. This presentation coincides with World Day for Accessibility Awareness, highlighting the importance of inclusivity in urban architecture.
A futuristic cultural vision
The following Friday, May 23, Laia Pino will offer an updated view on access to culture in La Seu d’Urgell with its presentation “ Access to culture in La Seu d’Urgell in 2024: a proposal for improvement ”, accompanied by its tutor Marc Llinàs. This presentation will seek to identify shortcomings and suggest solutions for a more accessible future.
Other initiatives and presentations
In addition to the presentations mentioned, the Ermengol Space is also the scene of several other projects within the initiatives ‘Let’s talk about history’ and ‘Let’s talk about science’.
Exploring Local History
On Tuesday, May 20, Jan López Rispa, of the Joan Brudieu Institute, will present ‘Camins de la Llibertat’, and on Thursday, May 29, the student Noa Coll Perpinyà, of the Institut-Escola de Oliana, will share ‘The Civil War in the shadow of Aubenç’. Both sessions will begin at seven in the afternoon, offering a deep look at local history.
Science and technology in action
In the field of science, on April 9, Clàudia Sanllehí Solé presented an innovative project on the creation of a weather station, with the aim of studying the increase in temperatures in La Seu d’Urgell, under the supervision of the tutor Carlota Miras de Mena.
Opening and access to the community
All presentations are free of charge and are open to the public, promoting the participation of the community. The events are registered and shared later on the Ermengol Space YouTube channel, ensuring that the ideas and voices of young people are accessible to all.
