Esteve Manubens shows a new collection of works in Sant Feliu

A journey through artistic realism

The artist Esteve Manubens, originally from Santa Maria d’Oló, presents his latest collection entitled “Explorant el realisme” in Sant Feliu. In this new exhibition, Manubens invites us to discover a surprising combination of portraits and still lifes, while betting on artistic realism. Using charcoal, pastel and oil, the artist offers a varied and captivating view of his fondness for drawing that dates back to his childhood.

From technique to inspiration

Manubens shares his experience studying painting in the workshop of master Vilajosana de Manresa, where he explored the techniques of watercolor, oil and charcoal. His works move between realism and hyperrealism, emphasizing the importance of details, especially in portraits. The collection presents a wide range of characters recognized in different fields, as well as anonymous ones, captured with a mastery that seeks to reflect not only the physical likeness, but also the personality through elements such as the eyes and gaze.

Innovation and classics

The “Exploring Realism” collection also incorporates contemporary elements into classic still lifes, such as a depiction of drink cans painted with detail and precision. The exhibition reveals the passage of time in his artistic evolution, from the impressionist beginnings to the current use of charcoal, pastel and oil. In addition, Manubens shows his love for photography through maritime and rural landscapes, as well as urban scenes of the Gothic Quarter and his native town, Santa Maria d’Oló.

Details of the exhibition

Manubens’ works can be viewed until April 21 in the Palau Falguera exhibition hall, from Thursday to Saturday from 6pm to 8pm and Sundays from 11am to 2pm. This unique opportunity will mark for an immersive experience in the artistic realism of the artist. Captivating and detail-oriented, Esteve Manubens offers visitors the possibility to explore their personal interpretations of reality.
