This individual, responsible for hurting two people with a white weapon, will also face an expulsion from the country for ten years after serving two thirds of his sentence.
Agreement and recognition of guilt
The trial quickly concluded when the defendant accepted the charges after an agreement between the Prosecutor’s Office, his defense and the plaintiff. Although the prosecution had initially requested a 12 -year sentence, the court decided to impose a six -year judgment, which was announced immediately and is already final.
Financial consequences and restrictions
In addition to the prison, a fine of 360 euros and compensation of more than 15,000 euros have been imposed on the victims of the aggression. The court specified that the conviction is based on an attempt to homicide towards one of the victims, who must be kept away for ten years, and for injuries to the other, with a prohibition of approach of five years.
The incident night facts
The events occurred around 8:20 in the morning of September 16, 2023. The defendant, a 28 -year -old man at that time, used a razor to attack two men. First, he stabbed one on the back, and then tried to advise a deadly blow to the second, who managed to block the attack with his arm, being injured in the forearm.
Arrest and background of violence
After committing the aggressions, the man fled, but was arrested by the Mossos d’Esquadra a few hours later, near a primary care center, where he had gone for his own wounds. During the investigation, it was revealed that the defendant had a history of violence, having previously attacked a floor partner and a woman.
Reflections on the sentence
This case not only highlights the seriousness of violence in the festivities, but also raises issues about public safety and the effectiveness of penalties imposed in cases of aggressions. The decision of the court to combine the prison sentence with the expulsion of the country could be seen as an attempt to prevent future similar incidents.
