Exploring the Soundscape: The Alferg Exhibition

Discovering a Unique Sensory Experience

Alferg, pseudonym of Alicia Fernández, graduated in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, presents us with a fascinating exhibition of drawing and painting entitled Paisaje Sonoro at the Ateneo Mercantil de Valencia from May 2 to 19.

Sound as the Protagonist

In his most recent work, Alferg places sound center stage, not only as a physical phenomenon, but also as an event that can be interpreted from a pictorial-artistic perspective.

Capturing Sound Heritage

The artist has dedicated herself to consciously capturing the sounds that surround us, recognizing the rich sound heritage that surrounds us and that has not gone unnoticed by her senses.

Creating a Pictorial Sound Language

Alferg’s exploration has led her to study sound records in depth through geolocation and recording, using digital cartography and topography to create her own pictorial language that represents different sound environments.

The Fusion of the Conceptual and the Sensory

The objective of this proposal is summarized in the fusion of the conceptual and the sensory, establishing an alliance between the world of ideas and that of sensations. The visual interpretation is captured through graphics, spots of color and suggestive shapes, seeking to offer the viewer a sensory experience based on sound listening.

Immerse yourself in a Unique Artistic Experience

Alferg invites us to explore his Soundscape exhibition to immerse ourselves in a world where sound comes to life through painting and drawing, offering a unique experience that awakens the senses and imagination.
