Exploring the Universe of Knowledge: The 2024 Children’s Fair in Igualada

An Exciting and Innovative Edition

The Igualada Children’s Fair 2024, which will be held between December 27 and January 4, promises a unique experience with the motto ‘From the Fair to the Moon’. This year, the theme will focus on science and technology, with the aim of promoting active learning and play among the little ones.

Promoting STEM through Play

According to the explanation of the councilor, Illa, this year the aim is to promote STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) through fun activities. One of the main attractions will be a giant maze that will challenge children to use their creativity and ingenuity to find the way out. In addition, a family planetarium will offer the opportunity to discover the mysteries of outer space.

An Inclusive and Accessible Space

In this edition, the Fair reaffirms its commitment to inclusivity, implementing measures such as the route adapted for children with special needs and a noise-free morning. This initiative will allow all children, including those with hearing sensitivity, to enjoy the activities in comfort.

Varied and Surprising Activities

The program of activities will include a wide range of options ranging from performances by local entities to inflatables, a playroom, makeup and virtual reality. Children will also be able to explore emergency vehicles such as a police car, a fire truck and an ambulance. As a novelty, the giant maze and the planetarium join this year’s surprises.

Collaborations and Community Support

This year’s Fair is supported by 22 organizations and 20 local businesses, who have contributed materials for the infrastructure and decoration, as well as gifts for the raffles. This community collaboration reinforces the sense of belonging and support among organizations that work for the well-being of children.

An Experience That Leaves a Mark

The Igualada Children’s Fair is not just an event; it is an opportunity for learning and fun in a safe and welcoming environment. With a focus on science and inclusion, this edition promises to be another step in creating a future where children can explore, learn and dream without limits.
