Firart 2025: A new age for contemporary art

A new start to the art fair

The Firart Art Fair begins a new edition with a renewed organizational team and an open call for artists. The event, which will take place from August 21 to 31 in the chapel of Sant Joan, will gather 40 creators who will present their works in small formats, highlighting their quality.

Changes in the organizational team

In this edition, the organization has undergone significant changes. The co -director Joana Salvadó and Joana Sadurní have decided to leave the project for personal and work reasons. Cristina Gallardo will continue to lead the fair, now with the incorporation of Lia Marrugat, Marçal Peguera and Mireia Quintana, who will bring new ideas and renewed energy to the project.

Opening to Creativity without Limits

Firart 2025 maintains its commitment to artistic diversity, allowing participation in a wide range of disciplines, such as painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, among others. The rules for the presentation of proposals are available on their website and on social networks, with a deadline for sending the applications until May 5.

Jury composition

The jury of this edition will consist of members of the Firart team, as well as experts such as the artist Anna Vallès and the historian Lourdes Mallart. They will evaluate the innovation and quality of the works presented.

Solidarity Initiatives and Patronage

As in previous editions, Firart will continue with his solidarity draw, where the works ceded by the artists can be won. The revenue obtained with the sale of tickets will go to the Festa Major de Vilafranca, with the draw scheduled for September 1 at the Teatre Casal.

New Figure: Firart’s friend

To foster the relationship with the audience, the figure of the Firart friend is presented. This new individual patronage option offers participants the opportunity to access the fair one day before the inauguration and purchase works in the first price, without a minimum of price.

Pinnae Award with more support

The collaboration with the Pinnae Foundation continues to award the Pinnae Prize for the best collection. This year, an endowment of € 800 is also included for the winner, who will have the opportunity to present their work at the Berger Balaguer Forum in 2026. The previous winners include Manel Atserà, Júlia Ríos and Maria José Torres.

With these new features, Firart 2025 reaffirms its commitment to contemporary art, fostering creativity and support for emerging artists in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
