A unique culinary proposal at the Hotel Serras

The renowned singer from Xàtiva, Raimon, used to express in one of his songs that ‘Al meu país la pluja no sap ploure’ (in mi país la lluvia no sabe llover), a statement that takes on relevance in the midst of the intense rain that is currently drenches the city of Barcelona.

At the Serras Hotel, Fabio Gambirasi and Roser Asensio have been welcomed, from the award-winning Agreste restaurant, with the aim of offering an Italian-Catalan gastronomic experience that seeks to merge tradition with the culinary avant-garde.

The Italian-Catalan fusion at the Hotel Serras

Fabio, originally from Lombardy, Italy, presents a six-course tasting menu that reflects the influence of the flavors, colors and aromas of his homeland, although it also incorporates elements of Catalan cuisine.

Despite the torrential rain that empties the streets of Ciutat Vella, the hotel dining room is overflowing with customers eager to enjoy this unique culinary proposal.

An exceptional dining experience

Diners are welcomed with a rosé wine from the Empordà, Rosa d’Àmfora, before enjoying iconic dishes from the Agreste restaurant, such as Cantabrian anchovy and sweet gorgonzola, fried panizza with Sardinian lemon cream, acorn jowl and rosemary, among others.

The culinary experience continues with artisanal parmesan cappelletti, fregula with Mediterranean prawns, rock mullet loins with Catalan suquet, Arturo Sánchez’s Iberian Presa Milanese, and culminates with exquisite desserts such as Maresme strawberries with strawberry sorbet, elderberry and chantilly, and a tiramisu with a touch of rum.

A promising future

Roser reveals that the Agreste restaurant will temporarily close for improvements, reaffirming his commitment to the original idea of ​​a restaurant with housing and a wild orchard to grow fresh produce.
