Hotel terraces in Barcelona: a unique gastronomic experience

The Meridian

Barcelona is full of hidden corners where you can enjoy good gastronomy. We often look at the hidden places between the alleys of the center, but one of the places that go most unnoticed are the terraces of the hotels. Today we bring you three unique spaces in which to enjoy a meal and a good drink.

Located in the center of Barcelona, the CentOnze restaurant, in the Le Méridien hotel, starts the summer with a gastronomic proposal that synthesizes the flavor of the Mediterranean to the maximum. The restaurant’s menu has incorporated new dishes for the summer, such as the creamy Roman-style squid salad or the broken eggs with bacon lardons. A proposal designed by chef Carlos Novo that pays tribute to the traditional flavors of the area, but with a Latin touch. In addition, as a novelty this year, the Terrassa Explore is presented, a corner at the highest part of the hotel with a selection of carefully curated drinks and tapas.

The Claris

We go a little higher and move to the Claris Hotel. The Claris terrace is one of the most legendary in the city. A gastronomic refuge that was a pioneer in the city when, now more than 30 years ago, it opened to the public for the first time. The space recovers a classic and seasonal menu, with elegant and exclusive summer dinners by chef Pedro Salillas. Dishes such as lobster cannelloni, Rossini filet or peas with curd are some of the delicacies that star in a menu of proximity and profit. In the afternoons at Claris, there are also options to do the preview in the same space. Jazz musical performances during the weekends or magic shows by Joana Andreu, daughter of Màgic Andreu, every Thursday, are the perfect excuse to go and enjoy the place.

The Palace

We cannot close the list of recommendations without mentioning the Palace offer. La Caseta d’El Palace opens the summer season with an ephemeral experience that will turn the hotel’s Rooftop Garden into a space set in the typical Andalusian fairs. Attendees will enjoy an authentic flamenco show and typical recipes of Andalusian cuisine. The menu also includes excellent pairing options with wines from the Mora-Figueroa Domecq wineries. Today you can enjoy the experience from 8:00 p.m. for a price of €95.
