Made the law, made the trap
An expression that fits our country perfectly and is that everyone is always looking for small loopholes where it is unthinkable to get away with it. And usually with the same goal: to make more money. Not to mention the consequent non-active action of trying to ignore the other person, in this case diners in bars and restaurants.
Avoid consuming more beer in bars
In an attempt to maximize their profits, bars have developed strategies to incentivize customers to consume more beer than expected. Through tempting offers, you often think you’re getting a good deal, when in fact it’s the opposite. A popular content creator on TikTok has revealed one of those tricks bars don’t want us to know about. The video in question stars Las Finanzas de Jordi, a tiktoker focused on financial issues. He begins by warning his followers, “Here’s what the bars don’t want you to know.” He then recreates a typical scene in bars across the country: a customer orders four bottles of beer from the bartender.
This offers him as a response an offer of a bucket of five at the same price. “Well, if we have one more bottle for the same price, of course, the bucket. But one thing, don’t you lose money on that?” he sarcastically states, before explaining the trick via the bartender’s response. “No, here’s the key. If you’re four people, but you order five bottles, usually in the second round you’ll order three more bottles to go with the person who’s been left drinking alone,” he explains from the hotelier’s point of view. Undoubtedly, a practice little known to the customer, but which has been repeated on multiple occasions in the bars of our country.
Tricking the eyes of customers
A second strategy followed by restaurateurs is that due to its dimensions, often not proportional to the container’s capacity, it deceives the eyes of customers. In other words, the famous reeds, as well as doubles or fifths, often have more similarities than you might expect. In this way, it is recorded in the videos that users from all over the planet upload to social networks as a demonstration that a bigger glass does not always equal more beer. Although many people say so when they go out to drink something.
Why do we like cold beer?
For beer lovers, the colder the better. And it’s because cold it tastes more like alcohol than at room temperature. The reason has its answer in chemistry, which is that temperature changes the way the water and ethanol molecules inside alcoholic beverages are organized, and therefore alters their taste A similar thing happens with the graduation of drinks, as the chemistry changes as the alcohol concentration increases. So, by combining the two variables, the flavor of the drink can be optimized. The new chemical discovery has been published in the journal Matter, and it details that the temperature and degree of alcoholic beverages is not by chance, but is sought to achieve the best taste in them. However, all the accumulated popular knowledge is still not supported by a clear scientific basis.
