The general director of Transport and Mobility, Oriol Martori, accompanied by the deputy director of Mobility, Benjamí Cubillo, revealed at the Pallars Jussà Council of Mayors meeting a report aimed at improving the experience of on-demand transport in the region.
A Comprehensive Vision to Optimize the Service
This study aims at a thorough analysis of the operation of transport on demand, pointing out areas of improvement to strengthen the effectiveness of the service. The proposals derived from the analysis must guide future actions to optimize the transport system.
Digitization and Accessibility
One of the key initiatives will be the digitization of the service through the clic.cat application. This will allow users to easily reserve their seats and track the vehicle’s location in real-time, thus improving their travel experience.
Despite this upgrade, the current telephone reservation will be maintained to ensure that all users, including those with less digital skills, can access the service equally.
Adaptation to Real Needs
The study also envisages adjusting the timetables and frequencies of the on-demand services according to the needs of the users, with the aim of offering a more efficient service that meets the demands of the local population.
Economic Promotion and Community Services
At the same session of the Council of Mayors, the catalog of services and activities of the Economic Promotion Board of the Provincial Council of Lleida was presented. In addition, the essential services provided by the Social Rights area of the Pallars Jussà County Council were highlighted.
