Promotion of student mobility through Erasmus+
During the coming weeks and until the end of May, the Institut de la Pobla de Segur will have the opportunity to host several students from European educational centers as part of the Erasmus+ program. This initiative, funded by the European Union, seeks to promote interaction and understanding between students from different countries, encouraging their participation in exchanges to consolidate their language skills and cultural knowledge.
Activities promoted by the center and the town hall
With this visit, both the Institut de la Pobla and the local council and other entities will promote various activities in the coming weeks. These will include excursions to the Museums of Salàs de Pallars, the Natural Park of Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici, as well as various adventure activities, all with the aim of showing the cultural and natural wealth of the territory to the visiting students.
European collaboration in the educational field
This exchange is not new for the Institut de la Pobla de Segur, as it has participated in previous activities with educational centers in various European locations. In this regard, the Institute received students from the Collège Pierre et Marie Curie in Le Fousseret (France), the Institut Maine de Biran de Bergerac (France) and the Kirkkojärven koulu in Espoo (Finland), all of them with the col collaboration of the Territorial Services of the Upper Pyrenees and Aran and the Town Council of La Pobla.
The Erasmus+ program and its values
The Erasmus+ program, funded by the European Union, stands out for its mission of social inclusion, promoting the ecological and digital transition, and promoting the democratic participation of young people. Access to this program requires meeting certain requirements and providing the necessary documentation that allows schools to start collaborative projects with other member institutions.
Background of the Pobla de Segur Institute
The Institut de la Pobla de Segur obtained the Erasmus credential a decade ago, and the Erasmus+ certification three years ago. These recognitions have enabled the center’s educators to establish exchanges with other European centers, such as those carried out with institutions in Latvia, Finland and Turkey in previous editions.
