A Mission of Peace or a Lucky Shot?
This morning, the Iranian delegation to the United Nations Organization (UNO) presented a surprising proposal: to put an end to the escalation of tensions with Israel after the recent incidents between both countries.
In a tweet, the Iranian delegation said that the issue could be considered closed, but warned that if Israel provokes again, Iran’s response will be more severe. It has been emphasized that this conflict is between Iran and the Israeli government, and that the United States should stay out of it.
A Justification in the Name of Defense
The Iranian delegation has argued that its recent military actions are justified as self-defense, according to Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. This response is presented as a reaction to the Israeli attack on Iranian diplomatic facilities in Damascus.
It is emphasized that Iran has not acted for the first time, but as a response to the alleged aggression of the Israeli state.
The First Direct Offensive
It is noteworthy that this is Iran’s first direct attack against Israel, without using intermediaries such as Hezbollah in Lebanon or the Houthis in Yemen.
The attack, carried out with drones and ballistic missiles from Iranian territory, has received the response of the Israeli air force, with the help of Jordan, the United States and the United Kingdom.
Review of Damages and Consequences
Reports indicate that most of the drones have been intercepted, with only one child injured and damage to a military base in southern Israel. The Israeli authorities have alerted the population in the border regions with Iran.
The Israeli press has highlighted the reaction of the Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, who met with the security cabinet at the military headquarters in Tel-Aviv.
Regional Branches and Air Restrictions
The situation has created tensions and affected regional airlines, with Israel, Jordan, Iraq, Egypt and Lebanon closing airspace.
This action has caused significant inconvenience for travelers and airlines.
