Journalist and Businessman Relate Their Experience in Switzerland after Being Linked to Democratic Tsunami

A Decision Beyond Borders

The journalist Jesús Rodríguez, collaborator of alternative media, and the businessman and writer Josep Campmajó have taken a momentous decision: to move to Switzerland. This choice, as they have explained, is closely linked to their alleged link with Democratic Tsunami and the judicial pressures they have experienced in their country of origin, Spain.

The Voice of Rodriguez

In an interview with ‘La Directa’, Rodríguez shared his impressions. He considers that the judicial persecution he has suffered is motivated by his journalistic profession and his alleged involvement in the events of the fall of 2019. Affirming that his imputation is a strategy to curtail freedom of expression, he warns about the surveillance of media and information sources.

Campmajó, Under Constant Pressure

For his part, Campmajó explained his experience in an interview with TV3. After feeling constantly watched by the security forces, he decided to make a decision similar to that of Rodríguez. He points out that his fear of being arrested and imprisoned was the main reason that led him to seek refuge in Switzerland.

Denying Leadership and Facing the Accusations

Both Rodríguez and Campmajó deny having had a leadership role within Democratic Tsunami. They consider that the accusations against them, such as the alleged link with acts of terrorism, are unjustified and based on a misinterpretation of their participation in these events.

A Long List of Culprits

In addition to Rodríguez and Campmajó, several other public figures are involved in this judicial investigation. Among them are former president Carles Puigdemont, ERC general secretary Marta Rovira, and other prominent personalities from the political and business spheres. The allegations of terrorism and other crimes are a high point in a case that continues to generate controversy and tensions.
