A space of literary encounter
Next Saturday, April 12, the Encamp Communal Library will become a meeting point for literature lovers. With the organization of the Encamp Library Service and the Publishers Association, this event promises to be a literary festival accessible to all, starting at 11 am.
Authors and publishers: voices of Andorran literature
Among the participants is the presence of recognized figures such as Frank Garcia d’Ame Editors, Marc Cortès de Medusa, Joan Peruga de Editorial Andorra and Jordi Casamajor de Marinada Edicions. In addition, publishers Fabiola Masegosa and Jan Arimany will also share their news, providing a rich thematic diversity.
Works that captivate
Personal narratives and reflections
Joan Peruga, in his work ‘Sentinella’, transports us to a love story that challenges adversity, with a touch of humor and an unexpected loyalty. This story is complemented by the experiences of his wife, Pilar Burgués, who reflected his experience in the book ‘Flash of white light’ a decade ago.
Thrillers who keep the expectation
Frank Garcia introduces the reader into the world of ‘Laser’, a thriller that promises to catch from the first page. The story of Chloé and Paul, doctors in Paris, is altered by a trip to New York that triggers a series of robberies and a clash with Russian Mafia.
Historical and artistic explorations
Jordi Casamajor, with ‘Considerations on Rock Art’, offers us a journey through his notes on the world of prehistoric arts, combining his love for nature and history in a notebook that reveals his discoveries and reflections.
Life stories and decision
Marc Cortès, on the other hand, presents ‘Bottle Colls’, a work that addresses the intertwined lives of characters trapped in decisions that lead them to the limit. The narrative deals with topics such as addiction and loneliness, with the support of Quim Monzó.
Tribute to literary creation
Fabiola Masegosa will talk about ‘One more year of our life’, the posthumous legacy of Xavi Fernández, who explores the events of 1943 during the Second World War. This work is a testament to his tireless work until his last days.
The power of African American literature
Jan Arimany will close the round table with ‘To proclaim it to the four winds’, James Baldwin’s first novel, which addresses guilt and struggle issues in a context of racism and inequality. This work, translated by Yannick Garcia, is a new opportunity to discover the depth of Baldwin.
A day of celebration and reflection
With an atmosphere of support and exchange of ideas, the round table of April 12 will not only be a book presentation, but also an opportunity for the Literary Community of Encamp to celebrate the creativity and diversity of voices that bloom in Andorra.
