A Historic Center full of energy and safety
The Lleida Autumn Festivals, which will be held from September 27 to 30, will once again bring life to the Historic Centre, in honor of Sant Miquel, the city’s second patron saint. This event coincides with the Agricultural Fair of Sant Miquel, and promises a diverse program with more than 100 activities and the participation of more than 50 local entities.
A party model with a commitment to sustainability
The mayor of Lleida, Fèlix Larrosa, has emphasized that the celebration will prioritize a sustainable neighborhood model, with closed streets and controlled open spaces to guarantee the safety of attendees. In a press conference, Larrosa shared that the city is preparing an unprecedented security device, with the collaboration of the Urban Guard, Mossos d’Esquadra and private security.
Innovation in security for an environment of tranquility
In order to create a safe environment, surveillance cameras and control systems to detect metals and weapons will be installed. The father in chief has stressed the importance of these measures in a context of tension during the festivities in several cities in Catalonia.
Safe itineraries and guarded areas
The mayor explained that attendees will have to follow safe itineraries, with constant vigilance. ‘Safety is a priority, and we want everyone to feel calm during the festivities,’ said Larrosa.
A program rich in activities for everyone
The Fall Festivities will not only focus on safety, but will also offer a wide range of activities. The deposit square will host live performances, and the gastronomic spaces have been expanded to enjoy local cuisine.
Promotion of local talent
Larrosa emphasized that the festival model is free and seeks to promote local talent, with artists representing the culture of Lleida. This year’s announcement will be made by Gonzalo Ferreruela Sanfeliu, at a time when Catalonia is preparing to be the world’s gastronomic region.
A community experience in the heart of Lleida
The alderman for Festes, Xavi Blanco, pointed out that these festivities are an opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy the cultural, gastronomic and leisure offerings that will be presented there. The activities will take place in several emblematic spaces, including La Panera and Casa de la Fusta.
Schedules adapted for everyone
With more flexible hours, activities will end at 1am, except on Saturday, when they will run until 1:30am. Thus, everyone can enjoy the festive atmosphere without rushing.
A poster that reflects the identity of Lleida
Artist Albert Garrigó has expressed his gratitude for being selected to design the festival poster, with the intention of fusing traditional and contemporary elements, creating an image that captures the city’s festive essence.
With this combination of activities, security and a strong focus on local talent, the Lleida Autumn Festivals are expected to be a memorable event that will strengthen community ties and celebrate the cultural richness of the city.
