In January of this year, an official statement was issued announcing the divorce between Prince Leka and popular local actress Elia Zaharia, with whom he has a 3-year-old daughter named Geraldina. The statement stated that both had mutually agreed to end their marriage and were committed to ensuring the well-being of their daughter. However, the reality behind this divorce is much more violent. A recent video shows how Elia and her father physically attacked the prince during a visit to his daughter. In the video, Elia can be heard insulting and accusing the prince of fraud, while her father tries to hit him with a piece of wood. The Relationship of the Albanian Royal Family with Spain

Furthermore, his father, Leka I, lived for several years in Madrid under the protection of Franco and the Royal House. However, his stay in Spain ended abruptly when he was expelled from the country in the democratic era, after an arsenal of weapons was found in his residence. These weapons were supposedly going to be used to try to regain the Albanian throne. Although this episode darkened the reputation of the Albanian royal family, the scandalous divorce and current suspicions have further worsened his image. Even Queen Sofia, known for her professionalism and humanitarian work, has decided to avoid any type of encounter with Leka II during his visit to Madrid. With friends like her, who needs enemies?
