Manlleu promotes citizen participation
Manlleu City Council has launched a participatory process so that citizens can decide what 3,545 euros will be used for. This initiative aims to encourage citizen participation and give residents a voice in decisions that affect the municipality.
Money raised in a painting auction
The money that will be allocated in this participatory process has been collected in an auction of paintings that was held last December. This auction was a success and they managed to raise 3,545 euros which are now made available to citizens to decide how they will spend it.
Three proposed projects
Manlleu City Council has proposed three social projects where the money collected can be used. The projects are: the purchase of a van and a cold room to improve the collection and preservation of fresh products from the El Sarró Food Bank, dining grants for the Josep Roqué Day Center and the purchase of books for the schools of Borrow Citizens can vote through the municipal website until April 30 to decide which of the three projects will be the beneficiary of the funds.
Participate and decide
Manlleu City Council encourages all citizens to participate in this participatory process and to exercise their right to decide how this money will be spent. Through the municipal website, residents can access the survey and vote for the project they consider most important and beneficial for the community. It is a unique opportunity for citizens to influence the decisions that affect their environment and improve their quality of life.
