Meteorological changes in Spain: forecasts worrying for the weekend

Meteorological alert: a day of San Isidre complicated

Thursday’s day, which coincides with the festival of Sant Isidre, a patron saint of farmers, comes with adverse news according to the latest updates of the meteorologist Roberto Brasero de Antena 3. Despite optimistic expectations, the climate instability that has affected the territory in recent weeks is still present, with the possibility of storms and hail that could seriously affect the harvests.

Areas at risk of strong storms

Brasero said that the areas with the highest risk of intense storms are Castile and León, as well as the southeast inland, the Eastern Cantabrian, the Pyrenees and the Balearic Islands. In addition, in other regions of the country, although the rainfall will be more mild, you can expect some drops of water. This contrasts with the areas of West of Galicia, Andalusia, Extremadura and the Canary Islands, which will enjoy a calm day with light skies.

A quieter and warmer Friday

The temperatures on Friday will not suffer large variations with respect to Thursday. There will be a slight increase in the Mediterranean areas and the northwest of the peninsula, while the center and north inland may experience a decrease of one or two degrees due to the presence of clouds. However, the weather is more calm, with a decrease in the intensity of storms, which will be concentrated mainly in the east mountainous areas.

A weekend promising pleasant temperatures

According to Brasero forecasts, the weekend will be presented with much more representative temperatures of spring, with highs that will approach the summer values in the east of Spain. However, the expert warns that this warm episode could be temporary. From Tuesday, a decrease in temperatures that could lead to a return to cooler values is expected.

Reflections on the changing climate

The climate is increasingly variable, with patterns that seem to change quickly. Farmers and communities that depend on the climate for their daily activities must remain alert and prepare for possible fluctuations. The forecast for the coming days, with a temporary promotion of the temperatures followed by a possible return to normal, reminds us of the importance of paying attention to weather changes.
