Mossos d’Esquadra launch an appeal to find a missing woman in Baix Llobregat

A call to digital solidarity

The Mossos d’Esquadra have used social networks to ask for collaboration in the search for a 54-year-old woman who disappeared yesterday in Baix Llobregat. Adela was last seen in Sant Vicenç dels Horts and has not been seen since.

Details of the disappearance

According to the Mossos d’Esquadra, the woman is 1.60 meters tall, has short, straight brown hair, and dark skin. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a gray jacket, sneakers and a white handbag. The possibility that she may be disoriented has also been pointed out.

Advice before a disappearance

The Mossos ensure a high resolution rate in cases of disappearances in Catalonia, with a 98.9% success rate in investigations. It is crucial to report a disappearance immediately, as the first few hours can be decisive. The police have also debunked the myth that you have to wait 24 hours to report a disappearance, and the importance of not starting investigations on your own and of coordinating with the security forces has been highlighted.

Laura Villanueva, of the police, underlines the importance of inter-institutional collaboration in these cases, ensuring that the Mossos contact other bodies such as the Urban Guard or the National Police according to the needs of the investigation.
