Nandu Jubany and El Miramar: a new era gastronomic in Barcelona

A new chapter for the Jubany Group

Nandu Jubany has marked a new course in his career with the recent addition of the prestigious Hotel Miramar in Barcelona into his projects portfolio. This decision represents a significant advance in the expansion of the Jubany group, which consolidates itself as a reference in the world of gastronomic events.

30 years of culinary excellence

With three decades of experience since the opening of Can Jubany in Calldetenes, Nandu Jubany has overcome his initial fame. Today, its name is synonymous with innovation and quality in Catalan cuisine, not only for its Michelin star restaurant, but also for its contributions to the haute gastronomy sector.

A strategic approach to events

The Jubany Events initiative, launched in 2001, has evolved significantly and is now installed in one of the most emblematic hotels in the city, the Miramar. Located on the Montjuïc mountain, this hotel offers an incomparable setting for banquets and celebrations.

Collaboration with vision

During the presentation of the new spaces, Jubany expressed his emotion: ‘We are starting a collaboration that promises to be very rewarding’. This association not only involves banquet management, but also a logistical approach to optimizing its operation in the city.

A flavors banquet

The presentation of the renewed spaces was an event, with more than 300 attendees of the tourism and events sector. The guests enjoyed a selection of appetizers created by the group, including delights such as carbonara tartale and grilled shrimp.

A luxury space

El Miramar, a large luxury five -star hotel, has two main spaces for celebrations: the Mediterranean Hall, with a capacity of 300 people, and the Azute Hall, with an elegant glass structure for 200 guests. Jubany emphasizes that the atmosphere is ‘magical’, with spectacular views of the city and the sea.

Transformation underway

The renovation work on the hotel, under the direction of the ATOM Hotels group, is still underway, promising an even more refined experience. “In a few months, everything will be ready,” said Jubany, anticipating a brilliant future for his new adventure.

A historical legacy

Hotel Miramar is not just a new project for Jubany; It is a building with a rich story. Opened in 1929 by the International Exhibition, it was a gastronomic reference point until it hosted the Spanish Television studies. Today, after several reforms, it has once again claimed its place as one of the most exclusive hotels in Barcelona.

Looking to the future

With a team of more than 600 employees, Jubany and his family continue to work with passion and dedication. “Retirement is a distant concept for me,” said his wife, Anna Orte, emphasizing her involvement in the project. With its roots well planted in Barcelona, the Jubany group is ready to face new challenges and continue to innovate in the world of gastronomy.
