A step towards spiritual renewal
The Archbishopric of Tarragona has made a significant decision with the appointment of ten new canons to the Cathedral Basilica, an initiative that seeks to strengthen spiritual care at a time of increasing influx of pilgrims.
Motivations behind the appointment

Archbishop Joan Planellas, after consulting with the Chapter in an extraordinary session, has decided that the rectors of local parishes are the most appropriate to attend to the spiritual needs of the faithful.
