Innovative Initiatives for Youth
Vilafranca del Penedès City Council is launching a job counseling service for young people through the SIAJ, a platform dedicated to providing information and youth guidance. This new initiative is added to other services such as educational and emotional counseling, creating an ecosystem of support for young people.
Personalized Assistance in the Job Search
The main objective of this advice is to facilitate the definition of each young person’s professional path, offering personalized support that fits their particular needs. The official presentation took place in a press conference with the Councilor for Youth, Montse Arroyo, accompanied by SIAJ experts.
Tools and Resources Available
Among the services offered, the search for job offers, advice on continuous training and guidance on international mobility stand out. Likewise, young people can receive advice to create a career path adapted to their abilities and interests.
Employment Support Projects
The Youth Employment Support project, funded by the European Union, is aimed at young people aged 16 to 29 who are looking for job opportunities. This program requires enrollment in SOC and the Youth Guarantee program, providing guidance on training and the labor market.
Collaboration with Educational Institutions
A key focus of the consultancy is to work with local schools to identify young people at risk of dropping out. Through the PIDCES program, activities are carried out in the classrooms to inform about the work options available, especially for students in training cycles.
The Job Club: A Space for Growth
The Job Club, created in collaboration with the Municipal Employment Office, provides an environment of direct attention for young people looking for work. With resources such as computers and Internet access, the club organizes group workshops to develop job skills and share experiences.
GiraFeina: Direct Opportunities with Companies
In collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, Vilafranca will host GiraFeina, an event designed to connect young people with companies looking for talent. With a dynamic speed dating format, participants will be able to present themselves directly to employers on October 18.
