New opportunity for families: dining aid in Tarragona

How to apply for individual dining aids

The period for submitting applications for individual dining grants (AIM) for the school year 2025-2026 has begun. This initiative, funded by the Generalitat de Catalunya, will allow many families in the Tarragonès to access financial support to cover the costs of school canteens.

Times and requirements to be taken into account

Applications will be open until June 27. The grants are used for students with specific socio-economic circumstances that attend public schools in Catalonia, including kindergarten, primary, compulsory secondary education and special education.

Information and resources

Those interested can access the teaching section of the Tarragonès County Council’s website, where they will find all the necessary information, including the rules, deadlines and the form to submit the application.

Options to submit the application

There are three ways to submit applications: electronically, through the educational center or in person at the County Council.

Telematic presentation

On the electronic route, applicants must visit the Consell’s website. If they need assistance during the process, they can contact the customer service service at 977 251 573, available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Presentation at school

The educational centers will inform families about their own procedures and calendars for the processing of applications.

Present presentation

If you prefer to make the request face -to -face to the County Council, you must make an appointment through the website and bring the original documents, such as the DNI or NIE of all members of the family unit, as well as any relevant legal documentation.

One step further toward equality

These grants are an important step in ensuring that all children have access to proper diet during school time, regardless of their economic situation. This initiative not only helps families, but also promotes equal opportunities in education.
