Presentation of a new financial support
On March 10, the Generalitat de Catalunya launched an initiative that seeks to help people between the ages of 36 and 64 to face the costs of rent. Applications will be open until April 11 at 2pm.

The grants are up to 200 euros per month, with a minimum of 20 euros. However, the exact amount depends on the rent paid by the beneficiary, who does not have to exceed certain thresholds according to the demarcation.

The rental limits vary depending on the location. For example, in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, the maximum is 900 euros, while in other demarcations such as Girona or Tarragona, the limits are 750 and 700 euros, respectively.
Application Procedure
Those interested can submit their application electronically through the Gencat housing portal or in person in the corresponding offices. Several documents will need to be provided, including the current DNI and the rental agreement.

The required documentation must include the proof of income, the if applicable family book, and the rental receipts paid. In addition, in the case of single -parent or numerous families, additional documents will be needed that prove this condition.
