One year of changes: the Catalan government towards territorial equality

A new horizon for Catalonia

Després d’un any des de les últimes eleccions autonòmiques, el panorama polític català ha experimentat un canvi significatiu. The PSC, with its recent victory, has shown that it is possible to have a government that acts and fulfills its promises, a reality that, for years, seemed unattainable.

Commitment to the territory: Catalonia leads

The recent visit of Salvador Illa to Terres de l’Ebre has been a key moment in reaffirming the Government’s commitment to the regions beyond Barcelona. In this meeting, the President presented the ‘Catalonia leaders’ plan, an initiative with a budget of 18.5 billion euros and 200 actions focused on reducing social and territorial inequalities.

The axes of the plan

The plan is based on five pillars: the improvement of infrastructure, the modernization of industry, the promotion of knowledge and innovation, the equity of opportunities and a good government. One of its most important goals is to combat territorial inequality, a topic that directly affects the regions of Catalonia.

Compliance with promises: a new age

The island government is distinguished by its ability to fulfill the commitments made during the election campaign. During his visit, he reaffirmed his determination to defend a quality public health, announcing the construction of a new hospital and the continuation of the works of the Virgin of the Ribbon.

Investments in Health

In addition, Illa announced that the Government will allocate 16 billion euros to health policy, with the aim of training more health professionals who stay in the counties, as well as the creation of university studies in medicine.

Renewable energy: a necessary challenge

In its term, the Government has prioritized the transition to renewable energy, an area in which Catalonia has been backward. Island emphasized the importance of recovering lost time and positioning Catalonia as a leader in clean and sustainable energies.

Transformation underway

After ten months of government, positive changes can already be seen in various fields. There are still challenges, such as the modernization of rail transport, but efforts in the reform of lines and rolling material are already underway.

A shared future

The ‘Catalonia leaders’ plan is an invitation to the collaboration of all sectors to achieve a future of modernization and solidarity. There is still a long way to go, but the goal is clear: to build a country that goes beyond the immediate election, focusing on the sustainable and prosperous future for all.

Thus, Catalonia is moving towards a horizon full of possibilities, with a government that undertakes to make a significant change in the lives of its citizens.
